About the Lake
Natural scenery and urban lido beaches between the foot of the Rigi and the centre of Zug
Lake Zug, fed by the Lorze, nestles elegantly in the pre-Alpine landscape between the cantons of Zug, Schwyz and Lucerne. Its striking north-south orientation means that the shores enjoy particularly long evenings right by the water’s edge.
The surrounding municipalities maintain a comprehensive infrastructure for swimming. Modern, well-equipped lido facilities, spacious sunbathing lawns and shallow lake access points are evenly distributed along the entire length of the lake.
